ATLA Powers Up Issue Retrieval Automation
After a successful first iteration of ATLA’s automatic issue retrieval tool, Imagistic was greenlit to build an enhanced version in early 2018. Kevin Howard Goldberg, Imagistic President, outlined the process. "After the client was able to use the original automation tool successfully, reallocating internal resources from needing to find and download issues to other tasks, they decided to improve and extend the tool significantly for version 2.0."
The initial version of the tool was designed to go to the publisher's website and download issues. Version 2.0 was designed to take this a step further, extending the capability to support publisher issues that were uploaded to an internal FTP drive. Additional challenges that were addressed included parsing XML documents to uncover metadata and using ZIP technology to extract the uploaded files. This version was launched in March 2018.
